Saudi Arabia has condemned what it described as Iranian aggression against several Gulf and regional countries, warning that continued violations of sovereignty could have serious consequences for regional stability and international law.

In a statement released on February 28, 2026, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the Kingdom denounces in the strongest terms actions it attributed to Iran, which it said violated the sovereignty of the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, and Jordan.

The Saudi government stated that these actions represent a direct breach of the territorial integrity of the affected countries and a violation of established international principles governing relations between states. It said respect for sovereignty remains a foundation of global stability and security.

Saudi Arabia also declared its full solidarity with the countries named in the statement, describing them as brotherly nations. The Kingdom said it stands ready to support any steps these countries may take in response to the situation.

“The Kingdom affirms its full solidarity with and unwavering support for the brotherly countries, and its readiness to place all its capabilities at their disposal in support of any measures they may undertake,” the statement said.

The declaration reflects Saudi Arabia’s position as a leading country within the Gulf region and highlights the close political and security ties between the Kingdom and its neighboring states.

Saudi officials warned that repeated violations of sovereignty threaten not only individual countries but also regional peace. The statement noted that continued disregard for international law could result in serious consequences, though it did not specify what those consequences might involve.

Saudi Arabia also called on the international community to condemn the alleged actions and to take firm steps to uphold international law and protect the sovereignty of nations.

“The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia calls on the international community to condemn these blatant attacks and to take all firm measures necessary to confront Iranian violations that undermine the security and stability of the region,” the statement added.

The announcement comes amid ongoing tensions between Iran and several Gulf countries. Saudi Arabia and Iran have long had strained relations, shaped by political, religious, and security disputes. Although there have been periods of diplomatic engagement in recent years, mistrust remains between both sides.

Saudi Arabia has consistently emphasized the importance of protecting state sovereignty and preventing interference in the internal affairs of other nations. The Kingdom maintains that stability in the Gulf region depends on mutual respect, adherence to international law, and cooperation among countries.

The statement from the Saudi Foreign Ministry also reflects broader concerns within the region regarding security threats and geopolitical tensions. Gulf countries have in the past raised concerns about activities they view as threats to their national security.

At the time of the announcement, Iranian authorities had not issued an immediate public response to the Saudi statement. It remains unclear what specific incidents prompted the declaration.

Saudi Arabia’s message signals its readiness to support regional partners and underscores its stance against any actions it considers violations of sovereignty. The Kingdom reiterated its position that respect for international law is necessary to preserve stability and prevent escalation of tensions in the region.
