TikTok has announced that “Wasiu Ayinde” by BhadBoi OML is Nigeria’s number one song of the summer for 2025. The song ruled TikTok, filled timelines, and started many dance and fun video trends.
The track, from his album Bhad Boi, mixes modern pop sounds with traditional Yoruba Fuji music, making it stand out. Fans loved how it connected old and new styles, showing how Nigerian artists are giving Afrobeats a fresh touch.
TikTok said this year’s list shows how different sounds and styles are shaping Nigerian music. Big names like Davido, Olamide, Rybeena, Seyi Vibez, and Asake also made the top ten with their hit songs. Some gospel and African songs from South Africa and Uganda also became popular with Nigerian TikTok users.
Teamwork was a big trend, with six collaborations making it to the top ten, including 99 by Olamide, Seyi Vibez, Asake, Young Jonn, and Daecolm; With You by Davido and Omah Lay; and Gaddem by Rybeena and Shoday.
Amapiano also stayed strong this summer, with Ngishutheni by Goon Flavour, Master KG, and Eemoh gaining huge attention. Emotional songs like My Darling by Chella and No Turning Back II by Gaise Baba and Lawrence Oyor also touched many hearts.
Toyin Mustapha, TikTok’s Head of Music Partnerships for the UK, Ireland, and Sub-Saharan Africa, said, “TikTok is where music truly comes alive. It’s where fans, creators, and artists come together to share and enjoy songs.”
The 2025 list shows how TikTok helps Nigerian music reach the world, giving local artists a space to share their culture and sound.
