Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has praised the country’s young military officers, describing them as a reflection of Israel’s unity, strength, and determination. Speaking at the BAHAD 1 Officer Training School during the graduation ceremony of the combat officers’ course, Netanyahu said the new officers represent “the best we have.”
He noted that the class included men and women from diverse backgrounds — Jews and non-Jews, religious and secular — all united by a shared duty to defend Israel. “You represent the spirit of Israel, which is made of unyielding resolve,” he said.
Referring to what he called the “War of Recovery,” Netanyahu said recent events had shown that the “era of heroes” is not over. He praised the soldiers who fought in the conflict and those who were injured, both physically and emotionally, calling their courage a lasting source of inspiration.
“The heroism of those wounded in body and soul inspires deep admiration,” he said. “We are all with the wounded in their rehabilitation journey.”
In his closing remarks, Netanyahu saluted the graduates and pledged continued support from the government and the Israeli people. “The People of Israel are with you, always,” he said.
